20th Anniversary

April 22nd saw us celebrate the 20th anniversary of Grey Street Dental Surgery. Paul and Anne arrived in New Zealand from the UK on April 20th, and within days began work a few doors down at 160 Grey Street.

EMCARE Training

All of our staff and clinicians are kept up to date with their first aid, emergency response training. We held an in surgery Emcare course last week and our instructor was Billy who is a lifeguard for Piha Rescue.

When you attend Grey Street Dental Surgery for a dental examination, it's not only your teeth that are inspected.

The dentists and dental therapists are responsible for the entire oral cavity.

The boundaries of this region include the lips, inner cheeks, tongue (upper and lower surfaces), floor of the mouth (and roof), and lastly but not least the back of the throat, about as far as you can see to the tonsillar region!

So, if you feel Paul, Adam, Venus, Bianca or Sunil pulling at your tongue, asking you to say "ah" or poking at the glands beneath your jaw... its all for a reason.
