We are pleased to offer intravenous sedation for our nervous patients.

This is a technique used by your dentist, which will help you relax during your treatment. It is usually given by a small injection in the back of your hand or arm. Unlike a general anaesthetic you will not be asleep, but will feel slightly drowsy during treatment, and may continue to do so for several hours afterwards. You will usually not remember having dental treatment.Local Anaesthetic is administered during sedation.

Not everyone is able to have this type of sedation due to various health and fitness reasons. Your dentist will assess you by calculating your BMI and checking your blood pressure and other health status. They will then advise you if you fit the criteria, for this type of sedation in the dental surgery.
